  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound cubed beef stew meat or cut up Sirloin Steak
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 (1 ounce) package dry mushroom gravy mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef stew meat, and cook until browned on the outside. Add the onion; cook and stir until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in the mushroom gravy mix and 1 cup of water. Season with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Turn heat to low, and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Transfer the beef mixture to a casserole dish. Roll out the puff pastry to cover the top of the casserole dish. Press edges onto the rim of the dish to seal. Whisk together the egg and 1 tablespoon of water in a small cup using a fork. Brush over the top of the pastry.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.

  1. Well well well, yes yes I like the pose, the face, the body. He's um...very appealing though young yes. Phew, I need a fan.

The recipe sounds delish too :D

  2. OK, no offence to anybody, but that body...OOOO-LA-LA!!!!! Sorry Mark, you never looked 'that' good! Drool...drool....drool...huh, there was a recipe too? Guess I need to go back and take another look...drool.

  3. OL at Jessica...I'm going to have to go back and reexamine the recipe too. I was distracted the first, um, ten or so times I attempted to concentrate one it:-)

  4. I haven't gotten around to examining the recipe, either. I think it involves steak and puff pastry, but I'm really not sure....

  5. I'm glad you ladies are enjoying the delicious young Hunk. The recipe is fun too. Did you notice the recipe came from a Scottish restaurant bakery called the Butt and Ben in Canada. LOL!!!No kidding.

  6. Yup, a beautiful young hunk for sure! Very nice!

And the recipe looks good too! Perfect for the coming cold weather!

  7. I'm going to fix this for dinner tomorrow night to celebrate finishing the Hero manuscript, if I can find the puff pastry, that is!

  8. Cheryl,
You should find it in freezer section near the frozen pie crusts. It's good. Puff pastry is so flaxy.
Enjoy!!! The younger girls need to see more of these healthy scandinavian muscled young men.

  9. Diva Donna, I think some of the older girls here like me would also enjoy seeing more of these healthy scandinavian muscled young men.

    Today's young hunk looks great.

  10. Sharon,
We'll probably get to see more pictures of different Healthy Young Men. BUT, we won't see more of them. They'll tease you. They're shy, not like your men.

  11. Donna, you are right. I like young men who are not the least bit sexually modest.
