Tasty Tuesday Chicken Adobo!

Recipe courtesy of Diva Donna!
Chicken Adobo

Serves 6

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 (3 pound) chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 large onion, quartered and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 2/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon adobo seasoning (or garlic powder)
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken pieces until golden brown on both sides, then remove. Stir in the onion and garlic; cook until they soften and brown, about 6 minutes.
  2. Pour in vinegar and soy sauce, and season with garlic powder, black pepper, and bay leaf. Add the browned chicken, increase the heat to high, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the chicken is tender and cooked through, 35 to 40 minutes.

  1. OMG That's so hot! I'm sure Ana would have been first to comment if she hadn't fainted LOL.

  2. Yep, he is one hunkalicious dude. Oh yeah, he is smiling isn't he. Looks like there is enough room on that couch for another warm body. Hey Ana, I found a fainting couch for you, already stocked! lol

  3. So few guys seem to realize how incredibly SEXY a genuine smile is---and how hearing a man laugh helplessly just grabs you by the heart!

This hunk is gorgeous! Thank you, Cheryl!!

  5. Yep, a man has to smile and he has to mean it. A great laugh is worth ten smoldering glances.

Got POV on the brain now, don't you, Ana? ;-)

  6. LOL,
I love this Hunks Great Smile or more like his SEG. He does look like he has Great Danglers, even though he's trying to tease us and hide them.
So, lets have a definition: POV? I have a idea, but want to see if I'm right.
I'm heading up to Campfire Bay resort for a few days with my family. So watch the cat liter box for me. Keep it clean. Check with you gals Friday unless I find Internet at the campfire. LOL!!!
And on a Serious Note. We need to send lots of Hugs and encouragement to Paulette and her Mom. More Bad news on the Cancer front.
They're waiting for news on the treatment options.
So send all the well wishes you can. They need them.
Have a Tasty Week. Check back Friday. DD:)

  7. POV is writer-speak for point of view. Have fun singing around the campfire, and we'll all keep Paulette and her mom in our thoughts and prayers.

  8. That's a great shot! He looks very happy lounging there all nekkid!

Hugs to Paulette and her mom.

Have fun and the camping resort Donna! Camping and resort in the same sentence just seems funny. I can't wait to hear all about it.

  12. No wonder you forgot about the recipe, Cheryl, although it does sound good.

I'm with Suzy...lets keep this superior theme as long as you can. Genuine smiles, like self-confidence, is verrrry sexy.

Sending Paulette and her Mom my hugs too.
