This is the fudge recipe I mentioned in last Tuesday's comments. As you can see, the quantities are large enough for gift giving, so if you're only making it for yourself, you might want to cut it down a bit.
Fudge Surprise
4 lb powdered sugar
1 cup cocoa
3 cups chopped pecans
1 lb pasteurized process cheese cut into pieces (Velveeta)
2 cups butter cut up into pieces
1 tbsp vanilla
Sift sugar and cocoa into a large bowl, stir in pecans. Melt cheese in double boiler, stir frequently and add butter until melted. Add vanilla. Add cheese mixture to sugar and mix well. Press into 10 1/2 X 15 1/2 jelly roll pan. Cover and chill until firm. Cut into 1 inch squares. Store in air tight container in cool place. Makes 12 1/2 dozen pieces.
Oh Cheryl I like that Fudge. Let's spread the Fudge on Benji when it still warm and melty and take turns licking it off? OK? OOPS!!! It's way past my bedtime. I think I'm going to dream about tasting warm fudge. LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow with cheese? Sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI have a weakness for Benji too. Aw Benji why must you be so pretty? XD
Your right that is a lot of Fudge..that's alot of Benji...I say we taste both..;)
ReplyDeleteI guess Benji and hot fudge are just another example of things that are better together!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day!
Mmmhmmm... Ben & Chocolate, yummy!

PS You've got a blog award on my blog today Cheryl. :o)
Who can every say no to fuge! And fudge with a little Benji on the side-perfection!
ReplyDeleteHave a good day ladies! I'm in panic mode for Christmas now! I know if I don't get my act together, I'll be doing the last minute shopping that I hate more than anything!
:)
See, I can't even type! Of course, you know I meant "who can say no to FUDGE!"
ReplyDeleteFudge, awards, Benji... Is there no end to the delights of the day?
ReplyDeleteI got a little extra shopping in today, Lisa. The PALS class I was supposed to go to was canceled due to the teacher forgetting about it, so I went to Penney's and Walmart and got a little stocking stuffer shopping done, instead.
ReplyDeleteDon't panic, you've got 16 more days!
Sorry your class got cancelled, but good for you getting a few more things done. I was trying to remember where I was when I saw perfect stocking stuffer tings but I had a kid with me and couldn't purchase them. Hmmm...hopefully it'll come back to me! 16 more days-yup, I can do it!
ReplyDeleteI need a Benji-sized stocking, according to the amount of drool I've now expended over this photograph. That's good that you got some shopping done, Cheryl! All I have left are the pets' stockings! Yeah, Santa brings stuff for the animals too. I probably owe the dogs anyway, since they had to go through the horror of grooming today. Man do they smell better, though.
ReplyDeleteI have faith in you Lisa!
ReplyDeleteKendra,
I brought Peaches inside yesterday and trimmed her toenails. You'd have thought I was ripping her leg off the way she carried on. She didn't smell very good, either, but it was too cold for a bath. Santa doesn't bring goodies for the cats anymore, but Peaches is getting a new collar and some treats--which she probably won't like. She's very picky these days.
I want this weeks Sundial hunk in my Christmas stocking.
ReplyDeleteI plan to just watch time go by...
:o)

OG I missed the anniversary! *sniff, sniff* and I missed the tattoo moons too *sob* and I missed all the fun *bawl* I was studying really hard to pass my Exit Exam.
ReplyDeleteI passed the test and I didn’t missed the Fudge Surprise, a chocolate cover Benji. Now if we could only manage to get a hold of him and pour the fudge all over that gorgeous body of his.
I'll see what I can do, MsM!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on passing your test, Leslie! We've missed you, but your time was well spent studying.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Benji and the fudge as your reward!
