Tasty Tuesday Tilapia!

When Donna sent me this recipe back in early December, she was having some dental problems. I believe she's doing better these days, but her solution to the problem is still mighty tasty! I tried this one out last night, and, trust me, it's a keeper. With all that butter and garlic, it smelled incredible while it was baking--not fishy at all!

Tilapia with Lemon Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Rinse tilapia fillets under cool water, and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Place fillets in baking dish. Pour lemon juice over fillets, then drizzle butter on top. Sprinkle with garlic, parsley, and pepper.
  4. Bake in preheated oven until the fish is white and flakes when pulled apart with a fork, about 30 minutes.

  3. Well, I'm again eating softer foods for 2 weeks because I'm doing some more dental procedures. We're continuing the work for my lower partial that was started in December.
I had 4 1/2 hour ordeal last friday. Please do not give me dental school assistants to make a temporary partial again. Yikes!!
I'm afraid the WTF picture shows that the fish already ate the yummy and he's coming back for the 2 doodles. OUCH!! And yes, Cheryl that's the 2 fisherman pictures. I was looking for. The Man in the waders makes me wish my Teeth were ready to handle Rump Roast. LOL!!

Another short week-hopefully I can remember that today is Tuesday...not Monday! :(

  5. Yep, those are some of the finest buns you'll ever see anywhere, aren't they?

Hope they get your choppers back in shape soon, Donna. Not being about to sink your teeth into rump roast is a terrible tragedy.

  6. Yikes! Unless that fish turns into a mermaid, our first man hunk fisherman is in b-i-gg trouble, amigos.

I wouldn't mind finding second fisherman man hunk in my net and the third fisherman man hunk has totally perfect buns. I'll lick them until Donna escapes the dentist chair. No really, it would be my pleasure:)

Talapia is one of my all time favorite fish so 5 stars for today's recipe.

...and we all know what tomorrow is!!!

  9. OK, it's 5:30 PM, and I want to thank everyone for NOT saying that the fish in the 1st picture is doing its best "Alicia impersonation"...

I cringed when I saw it.

  11. Those buns are yummy! I would just love to run my hands across them, up his super muscular back, down his arms and finish with his fishing pole!

The recipe sounds good! I love any flaky kind of whitefish.

  12. I don't eat Tilapia after I found out they are the fish used to eat the poop of other fish. Their diet is all poop. Eck!

    The guys are still cute.
