Tasty Tuesday Cooler Corn!

I'd never heard of this in my life until Donna sent it to me, but what a great idea!

Cooler Corn

Directions:

  1. Fill a clean cooler with the shucked ears of corn.
  2. Pour two kettles-full of boiling water over the corn.
  3. Close the top and allow it to sit for 30 minutes.
  4. The corn will remain at the perfect level of doneness for a couple of hours.
This will give you plenty of time to grill your burgers or boil your lobsters while you wait.

  1. I love eating corn and that's a genius idea. The hunk could definitely use some friendly hands...

  3. OMG Another recipe that matches our guy. Does his cob need buttering lol.

  4. LOL!! I knew this recipe was genius ladies. And the cobs would put a idea in Cheryl's head and inspire some desire among you very creative CBEB'ers. Or maybe I need to say today's cobbers. Leave it to you to ask the right question. How do we butter it? Does anyone want to be his Molly McButter.

  6. Do you remember the Matthew Broderick movie, War Games? In one of the first scenes, his dad buttered the heck out of a slice of bread, and then wrapped it around an ear of corn and twirled the corn until the butter melted onto it. I've been doing it that way ever since!

Might be a fun way to butter this hunk's cob, too!

  7. I just wrap my lips around a stick of butter before I bob my head over the ears of corn. Gets a nice coverage and keeps me in practice. And that is EXACTLY what I would do to today's hunk.

  8. LOL! Wait until you see tomorrow's guy. Donna just sent him to me. I think it would take a whole stick of butter to get him slick enough to do anything with.

  9. This is a very helpful hint, especially if you need to make lots for a bbq or something.

Today's hunk doesn't do anything for me-I'm excited to see what you have in store for tomorrow though.
