Tasty Tuesday Chicken Pierre!

And here's another yummy recipe from our own Diva Donna!

Hello! This is one of my hub's favorite recipes. I've made it for a long time. And he keeps asking for it over and over. Not sick of it yet. Serve with French bread to mop up every drop!
Or just add a hunk to do the work!

CHICKEN PIERRE(serves 6)

Ingredients

  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Directions

  1. In a shallow dish or bowl, combine flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt and ground black pepper. Coat chicken breasts with flour mixture. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat, and brown chicken on all sides. Remove from skillet, and drain on paper towels.
  2. In the same skillet, combine the tomatoes, water, brown sugar, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt, chili powder, mustard, celery seed, garlic and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and return chicken to skillet. Cover, and simmer for 35 to 40 minutes, or until chicken is tender, no longer pink and juices run clear.

  5. I really don't think Ice cream on his balls would be a turn on for our guy. He might not mind the warm stewed tomatoes as much. But let's just put the food on the plate and enjoy the hunk on the side before and after the meal.

  6. Nope. Not Benji. I can't remember his name, but I've got some other pics of him somewhere.

Actually, I prefer plain balls. No need to mess with perfection!

  7. Tasty Pierre is a marvelous diversion from my first experience of an earthquake in my entire, long life. I'd rather shake his booty than feel the room shaking.

To any Californians or others that experience quakes this would be a non-event but a 5.8 quake in Fairfax, VA is rare...as in a 100 years. Crazy freaky I can tell you. We don't have earthquakes here so after being bolted awake out of a dead sleep and hearing and feeling everything shaking I wondered what the bloody hell my upstairs neighbor was doing?! (I live in ground level condo unit.)

It was a puzzle that wasn't solved for me until I went in to check email and turned the TV on. About the same time I was reading an email from a friend in Texas asking if I was okay. I did have a fleeting thought about earthquake when it was happening but WE DON'T HAVE EARTHQUAKES IN FAIRFAX, VA!! The joke was on me. Gotta tell you it was not a nice way to wake up as I thought my entire ceiling was going to come crashing down.
