Great News!

Just wanted to share that Wildcat is a finalist in the Futuristic category of the Prism Awards, which is the contest for published authors sponsored by the Fantasy, Futuristic & Paranormal chapter of RWA. The winners will be announced at the awards dinner in San Antonio!

I would've had the cover of Rebel to share with you, but I wasn't crazy about the color they chose for the final version, so I'll wait and see what they send me next.

I've been working on the first book in my romantic suspense series while waiting to hear back from my editor on the contemporary cowboy erotic romance--at least I think that's what you'd call it. The title I gave it was Boots and Spurs and Cowboys, Oh My! which is too long, of course. I also sent her a partial manuscript that might work well with it, and that one doesn't even have a title. I just refer to it by the heroine's first name, Lauren. Honestly, as seldom as my books have kept the title I gave them, I don't know why I bother! Part of the process, I suppose.

But enough about that! Only five more days until the new season of The Voice begins!

Do you really think this would work???

Tasty Tuesday Wildcat Szechaun Shrimp and Vegetables!

Since today is the release day for Wildcat, I figured I ought to post something spicy. The original recipe came from Allrecipes, but I tweaked it considerably, adding most of the veggies.

Wildcat Szechuan Shrimp and Chinese Vegetables

Sauce
Mix together and set aside:
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp plus 1 tsp cornstarch
2 tsp honey (or agave syrup)
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp grated fresh ginger

Ingredients/Directions
Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in wok and add:
1 small onion, sliced
2/3 cup sliced mushrooms

Stir fry until onions are translucent. Then add:
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 green pepper, sliced

1 carrot, peeled and cut into strips
1 rib of celery, sliced

Fry about two minutes and add:
1 cup bean sprouts
1/2 cup water chestnuts
2/3 cup baby corn
12 ounces cooked shrimp (tails off)

Cook another 2 minutes. Add sauce and cook until thick and bubbly. Serve over rice or noodles.
