Suzy sent me some funnies, and by golly, I'm gonna post them! I'm tired of being chicken.
To be perfectly honest, I haven't felt this way in a very long time. Not that I've forgotten to do anything (I do that all the time) but that I have free time. I can't remember what that feels like.
Could someone please remind me?
That happens to me all the time. I feel like I have free time and then I get phone calls, "Oh weren't we going to do this?" My reaction: "Oops...."
ReplyDeleteYeah. When that happens to me, I've usually missed an appointment.
ReplyDeleteI hear you, Susan! I have a tendency to put water on to boil for Sam's macaroni and cheese and then go back to my computer. I haven't let the pan boil dry yet, but it's only a matter of time.
ReplyDeleteA watch pot never boils over.
ReplyDeleteI still get this guilty feeling that I should be up and DOING something instead of "just" sitting there, reading.....and then I realize that I'm hearing my (very OC) Mother's voice, from my childhood, and I smile and scrunch around in my comfy seat and sip my tea---and go back to my well-deserved leisure and my beloved books! If I'm actually forgetting something, it must have been something I didn't want to do, anyway. My idea of a goal for the day is often.."let's see if I can finish that book today!"
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've got the right idea, Suzy! My father was the one who always thought I should be doing something more productive than watching TV or playing solitaire. Apparently I'm still hearing him. ;)
